“The Goal”

Every company has experienced instances where a leader within the organization shows strengths in core competencies necessary for the role, but may be exhibiting EI blind spots of which peers are taking notice. Or, a company finds an employee that exhibits great work ethic and is an emerging star among his/her peers, while showing comparable traits to leaders within the organization. Leadership with EI is shown through four key dimensions: Authenticity, Coaching, Insight, and Innovation. What are the impact, insights, implications of these four key dimensions of leadership? Which skills have the highest potential of becoming leadership “derailers.” The goal is to attain true leadership potential, while being able to compare results against top leaders as a benchmark.

“The Work”

The Leadership assessment tool is delivered online, using a secure site and involves responding to 133 statements, taking approximately twenty minutes to complete. Once completed, the Leadership Report, provides scores in 15 competencies, grouped into five composite areas: Self-Perception, Self-Expression, Interpersonal, Decision Making and Stress Management.  The leadership report also contains the four competencies which are most important for being an effective leader, maximizing productivity and work satisfaction, creating trust, and fostering organizational loyalty. The competencies of Authenticity, Coaching, Insight, and Innovation are explained, and the EQ-i 2.0 subscales which most relate to each competency are listed. The report I receive provides a detailed analysis of your results. I will explain and unpack everything for you thru a one hour personal conversation (in person, virtually, or over the phone).

Coaching can keep you on track, stay accountable to your goals and attain your vision. Leaders often have few people to speak freely with. The more senior the leaders, the more limited the opportunities there are for thinking out loud, exploring new ideas or reflecting on challenging situations. Having a trusted coach to reflect on your leadership approach, relationships, thoughts and ideas can be very beneficial.
